Welcome back to The Musical Autist, dear readers! You might suspect that we’ve been on “holiday” all this time since our last blog post, but in fact, we’ve been diligently hard at work behind the scenes.
First, CJ Shiloh and Dr. Blythe LaGasse have been busy co-authoring an article on Sensory Friendly Concerts, Neurodiversity and Community Music Therapy, for publication in a peer-reviewed journal. More news on that coming soon!
Second, Sunny and CJ have been putting together videos for the online CMTE training for Music Therapists who are interested in facilitating Sensory Friendly Concerts. You will be able to find this course on Summit Music Therapy.com within the next few months.
Lastly, we have been super busy corresponding with Music Therapists from around the world. In 2014, there is a potential to see Sensory Friendly Concerts happen in 29 different US cities, Canada, New Zealand, Ecuador and the UK!
2014 – let’s GO!
One more quick side note for our faithful subscribers. Since we only post a few times per month, we’ve decided to combine our “Monthly Newsletter” and our “RSS Feed” (which is an email sent to your inbox every time we post).
If you’d be so willing, please re-subscribe if you’d like to remain on this list, and stay in our loop. Thanks!
p.s. Music Therapists, there is still a separate newsletter that we send to you, if you’re interested in facilitating SFCs. No need to resubscribe, but please make sure you’re on the above list as well. Thanks!
CAN’T WAIT to check out the new course, soon!! Thanks for all you do!!
