Today Ms.CJ had the honor of attending one of the pre-release showings of the film, Wretchers & Jabberers. This took place at AMC Theatres in Columbia, MD, which is the locale of the very first Sensory-Friendly Film. We are freshly inspired to launch our Sensory-Friendly Concert Series on May 14th, less than 20 miles away, in Millersville, MD…at the church across the street from Ruth Parker Eason School.
Here are two phrases from the film that we embrace and incorporate into our everyday vocabulary: ~Presumed Competence~ ~More Like You Than Not~
This film is revolutionary and gives much hope for the future.
Take a look for yourself at the possibilities.

Thanks for featuring me in this post, Ms. CJ! I am jealous that you got to see Wretches and Jabberers! I have been following their blogs for a while but the closest showing of the documentary to me is in New York City and I do not like to go there, so it seems like I will have to wait until it comes out on DVD to see it. I meant to send you a few of my favorite videos, but it seems like you’ve picked out my most favorite on your own! I also do like my classical piano videos, especially the Saint-Saens Concerto I posted recently. Thanks again for the feature! -Nicole
Nicole, your comment has brought more joy to my heart than if one million neuro-typical people told me, “yeah CJ, that’s a great idea.” Seriously, you are so talented, and you can consider me a friend for life. I’ve got just a few classical piano pieces posted on youtube as well. Debussy and Rachmaninoff are def my fav composers! I would not be who I am today if it weren’t for those 2 guys. 🙂 I know you understand. 🙂
