Hello everyone, this is Sunny. CJ and I will be speaking at New York University on June 25th, in a symposium entitled, Neurodiversity, Music Therapy and the Autism Spectrum. We would like to thank Dr. Ken Aigen for the invitation and commend him for his advocacy for the Neurodiversity Movement. We would like you to come and listen to our presentation. Music therapists, advocates, and other professionals will be talking about different aspects of autism and neurodiversity.
CJ and I will be talking about The Musical Autist; we will talk about Sensory Friendly Concerts and some of our new initiatives. I will talk about the jam sessions that I have started this year. We will also talk about our brand new after school program called “Proud to be Me: Understanding Autism Acceptance and Advocacy”, which will begin this fall. Our team is creating curriculum for this program which will be used to teach students about autism acceptance, neurodiversity and autistic advocacy.
If you are in the NYC area or able to fly out for this event, we would really love to see you there. We are especially interested in inviting autistic advocates to this event. NOTHING ABOUT US, WITHOUT US!
