Troupe

What is Troupe?

Musical Autist Troupe is an inclusive group of individuals with and without disabilities, high school students, college interns, and music therapists. Time is spent together with “intentional listening” to songs shared by each participant, rehearsing songs for a cumulative performance, and intentional opportunities to build friendships and community.

What are Song Shares?

Song shares are opportunities for Troupe members to share songs that are meaningful to them or songs that they are vibing to in the moment. Song shares can either be recorded music or shared live!

What Kind of Music is Rehearsed?

Troupe rehearses and performs participant selected songs of all genres that explore topics such as friendship, self-advocacy, and positivity. These songs are rehearsed across a semester toward a culminating performance in the community. Check out the videos at the bottom of the page for some of our past performances.

Attending Troupe

Troupe is held Tuesday evenings in Sulin Hall at the Annapolis Area Christian School in Severn, Maryland. In order to increase access to as many folks as possible, Troupe has flexible attendance options. Participants can join in person at AACS, virtually via Zoom, or switch between the two from week to week!
